I'm a Maine based photographer, specializing in weddings and lifestyle portraiture. I serve all of New England and beyond as no event is ever too far.

My best friend comes to Portland, Maine.

After graduating from Hallmark Insitute of Photography, I went to New York City and worked with a celebrity photographer.  My first day in New York, the photographer I worked for, photographed Julia Roberts.  And thanks to that visit from Julia Roberts, I made a best friend.  Shelley, who works at Hallmark and I started exchanging emails soon after I left school.  Knowing what I know about her now, I think she may have kept in touch when I left school because she loves celebrity gossip.  Subscription to People Magazine and everything.  So, she was ALL over the avenue of the industry I had entered.

Since then, we have shared countless, mile long emails about living, loving and balancing our very busy lives.  When I moved to the west coast in 2001, we would always say how lovely it would be to see each other after a long week and gush about our lives over a bottle of wine.  Over the years, she’s been a cheerleader routing me along this journey and she’s always been the person I know I can go to when life hand delivers crazy.  She’s awesome and I cannot imagine life without her.

Now, that I’m back on the right coast, we’re just three hours away from each other.  We take turns visiting and become tourists in our own hometowns.  For her, 30th {with 10 years experience}{she’s going to kill me} she came to me to be photographed.  {I’m sorry but if I look as good as she does when I’m 40, I’ll be stoked.}

Here’s my pretty friend.

Shelley, thank you for being my friend for almost a decade.

I’m just a lucky girl  . . .  xoxo . . .
