Life has changed quite a bit round here. Life took that turn in March and we’re now on a very focused path regarding my Mom’s health. Fortunately, I have a career that I love and can take with me everywhere. I’m very thankful for that brave decision I made in 2008 to move to Maine from California. I couldn’t imagine receiving “the call” from 3,000 miles away. I have celebrated that decision and feel it’s as if I somehow knew it was time I came home.
Recently, a client that came my way through the filmmaker, Meg Simone sent me a little surprise. The bride put together a few of her favorite things. Her favorite movies, novel, music, chocolate covered pretzels {to die for, my favorite}, a delicious smelling SOY candle and nail polish. I sobbed opening it. I am so blown away by her thoughtfulness. I will NEVER forget this. Working with her, her soon to be husband and their fur kids has been a gift in itself.
I can share all of this with my Mom so it’s a bundle of lovely awesomeness that really brightened our world. Thank you, Anastasia!!
You really learn a lot about life during times like these. You learn about who is really there and what it all really comes down to. I related a lot to this TED talk, “What I thought when my plane crashed.” I shared this with you because I felt what Anastasia did was so powerful. She spent time and money on something that is absolutely priceless and I’m sure you could find at least one person to do this for today or this week or this month.
I hope this post about Anastasia’s thoughtfulness inspires you to bring a little sunshine to someone’s day.
xoxo . . .
Ps. Follow her blog The Universe According to Anastasia – she’s a riot.
