I traveled to Saratoga Springs, New York for Kristin and Jimmy’s very well planned wedding weekend. The locations were all new to me and I found it easy to love this town. I was impressed at how the day unfolded and found there were no distractions that got in the way for everyone to really enjoy themselves. Kristin had said: “We LOVE the big field – we’d love to have you capture us barefoot in the field!” To me, that was such a good sign that she was going to enjoy herself and not get caught up in the details.
These two have a lot joy and because of that they brought this . . .
. . . which is one of my favorite images from 2011.
We had an opportunity to capture them prior to their rehearsal dinner on Friday evening which is such a great way to lead into the wedding day. Meeting and capturing the family during the cocktail hour before the dinner is also a great way for everyone to feel at ease on the day of.
My favorite second photographer, Ashley Tilton captured this event as well and as always she rocked it by shooting through bushes, finding different angles and capturing the reactions of family and friends. She is a solid rock to my business and it was so much fun to have her along for this event.
