{love} a wedding in portland, maine {eduardo and margaret}

Flashback!  Eduardo and Margaret shared vows in Falmouth, Maine and they celebrated with friends and family in Portland, Maine on a beautiful August day.  Alison Taylor came up from Mass to second shoot that day and I have to tell a little story . . . knowing she may kill me a little but this is something that can sprout in my memory and give me a good laugh any day.  Her and I met at the church.  We were parked beside each other.  Our cars were facing a wooded area.  There was a slight dip from the level of the parking lot to the woods.  Alison’s drive north was a little hectic, traffic slowed her down and on wedding days that can easily frazzle dazzle a wedding photographer.

We’re chatting, both standing at the back of our cars, prepping our gear with our trunks open, catching up since our last wedding together.  When all of a sudden her car begins to slowly roll towards the woods.  She runs along side the driver side to get in and stop it but it’s rolling too fast.  And whoop there it goes down the little dip and into the woods.  This all happened really fast and watching this happen two things came up for me . . . total fear that she was going to get hurt as she held onto the driver door and went with it and the second was complete hysterical laughter.  You know when something is so scary it’s funny . . .   Yeah, so here we are . . . she just didn’t put her car in gear thus the rolling affect.  She got it under control, backed it up over the dip and we were back in business.  Groomsmen are in the parking lot yelling to us . . . are you ok?

Yup, we got it.  I was crying I was laughing so hard and not at her . . . but the situation.  True story.  Luckily no one was hurt and her car was OK.

Ceremony at Falmouth Congregational Church
Reception Venue The Portland Club.

Eduardo and Margaret also visited the studio when they returned from their honeymoon in Canada for an encore session.  Check out a few photographs from their encore session, here!

I met really wonderful people doing this event and was very excited to receive a message last week that Eddie and Meg have moved from California back to the East Coast.  I look forward to watching their love grow!!  XoXo.
