After a business meeting yesterday, my good friend Nicki Fenderson and I took some time to give our love to animals in need. We volunteered dog photography at AWS {the Animal Welfare Society} in Kennebunk, Maine to help the adoption process and to help make these sweet babies look good. The dogs available were so well behaved and relaxed. I could have taken them all home. All of them. Seriously. So sweet and soooo adorable. It’s a process getting the dogs to show us themselves. It takes a little bit of time for them to come around and show us what works for them . . . the squeaky toy, the treat, the high pitched barks. Yesterday, we brought a little peanut butter into the mix. They aren’t all food motivated yet Nicki always finds a way to get them to pose. Even if it’s just for a split second.
The dogs stress level seemed to be fairly low and we enjoyed spending quality time with each of them, the cats and other little creators.
Readers, it would mean so much to me if you would please share this post on your Facebook pages or Twitter feeds or email or anywhere to help these wonderful dogs find their forever homes. Thank you so much!
