This stunning church wedding took my breath away…
I didn’t have to travel far to find this Portland-based wedding, and when I arrived, I was greeted with a level of warmth and kindness I could have never imagined. Rebecca and Patrick, as well as their families, made sure every guest felt welcome and loved. It really set the mood for the romantic ceremony and touching reception.
I was with the bride as she prepared for the big day at her mother’s home in Saco. Meanwhile, the second photographer, Nicole, stayed with the groom, who got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn near the church.

I was able to capture the couple’s first glance, which proved to be a very special moment for the two of them. I also got to take some photos of the wedding party on the steps of Portland’s city hall. It was the perfect backdrop for their portraits.

The ceremony took place at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist church and the view from the balcony was absolutely stunning for second photographer, Nicole Weeks. The only thing more beautiful than the crystal chandelier was Rebecca as she floated down the aisle.

After the ceremony, we took pictures in the garden off the church, and made our way to the reception. The reception was held at the Masonic temple, which was one of the most striking venues I’d ever been to in Portland.

During the reception, the bride changed into her Nana’s old wedding dress and shared a dance with her grandfather. It was such a touching moment, it had nearly everyone in tears. And the dress fit her perfectly. Can you believe that dress was last worn in 1957?
