Here it is! My last wedding post for 2015, featuring my last wedding from 2014! Yes, I’ve had some catching up to do. I’ve had the pleasure of documenting these amazing events and with the help of Craft Your Content, I can now easily share them with you.
Christiana and Ray were a dream to work with. They were incredibly nice to me, relaxed, and so in love. This was a really great day, with a very special couple, and it was so close to home.
The bride and groom both got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn that was across the street from their venue. Christiana toasted with her friends and family, while Ray played a little hangman with his groomsmen.
Christiana and Ray had their first glance at their venue, the Ocean Gateway in Portland, Maine. They were so open to being photographed, which made for fun portraits of them together and with their wedding party.
My favorite shot was of the couple in front of a vintage 1913 locomotive called “The Polar Express.” It was all the more perfect with the light layer of snow at their feet.
The ceremony and reception took place inside the Ocean Gateway building. The couple got married in front of the glass-enclosed section of the building, which looked out over the water. With a christmas tree behind them, their ceremony blended traditional touches with modern elements.
My coverage was only for the portraits and ceremony, what we were able to create in the little time we had was simply amazing. I walked away from the last wedding of 2014 reminded of why I love what I do, which was an awesome way to leave the season.
