Prouts Neck Wedding

This Prouts Neck Wedding spared no expense!

My weekend started on Friday with the bride and groom, Medora and Jeffrey, who wanted a few pre-wedding photos at the St. James Church and by the ocean before the rehearsal dinner at the Yacht Club.

On the day of the wedding, Medora’s aunt Pharibe and grandmother Margaret hosted a lunch at the Yacht Club with a delicious lobster bake. Before heading to the best man, Andrew’s, house to get ready, Jeffrey and his groomsmen stopped by the club to mingle and be with family.

Meanwhile, Medora and her bridal party got ready at her family’s home. All of her accessories and details were heirlooms, including the veil — which belonged to her grandmother and was worn by her mother and aunt at their weddings.

My second photographer, Kelly Anne, spent the morning with the groomsmen. We both captured some group photos prior to the ceremony.

As is a Prouts tradition, “The Thing” made a special appearance at this wedding. Vaughn Pratt drove the vehicle, which was used in another Prouts Neck Wedding I photographed a while back.

Afterwards, Medora and Jeffrey rode in The Thing to the Prouts Neck Country Club, while the guests took a trolley. Medora and Jeffrey and I headed to the rocks by the ocean for some great portraits, and this gave them a moment to themselves.

I love this shot in particular. The texture of Medora’s veil against the rocks looked amazing.

The dinner, for all 200+ guests, was held outside under a stunning Sperry Tent. The party used the majority of the country club for cocktails and dancing.

During the reception, I was able to meet a couple whose wedding I was photographing the following weekend in Marblehead, MA. It was great to see them and talk to them before their big day. Small world!

As the sun set, the venue looked even more incredible, and I stole the bride and groom away for a few more shots before the end of the night.

Overall, I could tell that Prouts Neck was the perfect place for Medora and Jeffrey’s wedding. They made sure that everyone felt how special it was to them.
