Victoria Mansion Wedding : Portland, Maine

The winter wedding of Beth and Johnny at Victoria Mansion in Portland, Maine.

My heart loves this wedding.  I actually have a heart sensation when I think about and look at the photos from this wedding.  The bride, Beth knows what I mean.  She’s one tapped in soul.  I photographed her business portrait a couple of years ago and she told me about her adventurous life.  She has an amazing story of how she ended up going to Peru and she mentioned this guy, Johnny.  I said well if you get married in Peru, you better call me.  She did call and said they were getting married and they chose the Victoria Mansion for their ceremony location.  WHAT?  I didn’t even know you could get married there.

I met Johnny for the first time when we toured the mansion to walk through what the ceremony would be like.  Beth and I both got chills when we entered the first floor.  Something about that place.  There is most certainly a good energy and the perfect place for Beth and Johnny to exchange rings and vows with their closest family and friends.  Did I mention, Johnny and I do not speak the same language?  Nope.  And I loved every minute working with him.  Smiles are universal.

There is really SO much to say about their wedding day.  The brilliant people, the love, the handmade dress, the Victoria Mansion, the amazing food by Shannon Bard of Zapoteca and her entire crew made this one memorable way to spend an evening in Maine.  Thank you Beth and Johnny for getting married and having me along for the adventure.
