This couple from Dana Point, California came to Maine for the first time and got married! I used to live in Dana Point so it was really cool meeting them, seeing them witness many firsts in Maine and document their intimate wedding. They stayed at the Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth and I met them the night before for the first time at the Lobster Shack at Two Lights for a few casual photographs.
It was such a fun night. They even treated me to a lobster roll!
The following day, I headed to the Inn by the Sea to photograph the group getting ready. This was a weekday wedding and WOW was it sweet. Everyone was so relaxed. This is a couple who has never, ever been to their ceremony location until their actual ceremony. They weren’t worried and everything they were seeing was for the first time. Makes you appreciate where you live even more when you’re seeing someone else experience it.
Once the ladies were ready, I met up with the guys and we headed to Ft. Williams for their ceremony. The bride’s sister, Lauren Black played guitar and sang them a song that she wrote called SeaBreeze after they exchanged vows. You can hear it by watching their wedding day slideshow. We spent time at the park afterward for some photographs and then all headed to the Inn by the Sea for an intimate dinner.
I had SO much fun with this group! If you come back to Maine please get in touch and PLEASE have a blackened fish avocado salad from La Sirena in Laguna for me. Mmmm!! 🙂
