This week, I will be featuring two birthday parties from both ends of the age spectrum. First up, I photographed baby Annabelle’s 1st birthday in Scarborough, Maine.
Ohhh! I loved this experience and so excited to share.
Her Mom and Dad rented a house on the beach and put together a lovely party for their special little lady. They gathered with a small group of friends and family to celebrate. Annabelle was a wee bit sleepy but she made it through our hour of photography coverage. In just an hour, I photographed the beautiful details, family portraits on the beach, floor time with the grandparents and her eating cake. Annabelle’s one lucky girl and so glad she’ll have these memories to look back on one day.
Adult beverages too of course! The beer is brewed by their friend, Chreston who owns Bunker Brewing Co. Nice touch!
Annabelle was such a lady about the cake. She eventually wanted her foot in it I think and you’ll see the results of that below.
Details to know . . . written by Annabelle’s Mom, Tracy . . .
Cakes by Katie Made. The “smash cake” was vanilla with strawberry buttercream frosting and one strawberry on top. The mermaid cake was chocolate. They were able to make it look like an ocean just like I requested. They tasted even better than they looked. They also did the pink cupcakes with white icing and I bought the little flags online and put those in myself. The illustration on top of the cake was done for Annabelle by our friend Arielle Walrath (whom I think you know, she is a Partner at Might & Main). She also helped me a great deal making my invitation vision come to life. The whoopie pies are from Cranberry Island (very Maine authentic:) The delicious food was from Aurora provisions. Minotts did the gorgeous flower arrangements. The beer that is important to feature is that which was in the growlers. Our friend Chreston, who was at the party, is the owner and brewer at Bunker Brewery. The beer that was in the growlers is called “Beast Coast”. The huge round balloons and some of the other decor was from Shop Sweet Lulu.
If you’re interested in learning more about any of the details from their party, please feel free to get in touch or leave a comment.
Thank you Brockhouse family! You guys rock!
xoxo . . .
