I know. I’ve been a very bad blogger. I know this. It sort of haunts me late at night when my mind races to the list of things to do. I’ve been a traveling fool for love. I’ve been photographing weddings in Maine, California, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I’m home for a bit. Enjoying every second and humbled by the experiences and opportunities I have had to work with such beautiful people.
I’m just finishing up Anna and Dino’s wedding day which took place Saturday, July 18 in San Diego and had to share a few thoughts. It really doesn’t matter how many weddings I’ve seen, how many photographs I’ve taken . . . the whole process never gets old for me. There is a specific feeling I can’t seem to name that comes about when I sit back and view the entire day. I’m amazed by each couple, the light, the love, the laughter . . . feels like such a gift.
I snuck Anna and Dino away from their guests to take a walk through a row of palm trees. There is a quiet and calm knowing when I’m around these two. I think it’s their way of looking at each other. She’d sigh a little, he’d smile and she’d giggle. It was wonderful to be apart of their special day.
More to come . . .
With love, Melissa
