I spent an evening photographing an anniversary portrait session with a couple from Orlando, Florida who came to Maine for the first time to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They were looking for a quintessential coastal Maine location close to Portland so we chose Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth. It’s so exciting to witness a visitor seeing Fort Williams Park for the first time. I think it surprises people who have never been to Maine, how gorgeous the coastline is here. Plus, this park looks gorgeous in all types of weather.

Whether it’s your first, tenth or twentieth anniversary, it’s a brilliant time to be photographed. It may seem silly but trust me, these photographs will mean a lot to someone in your family in the future. The session can be at a location that has meaning to your relationship or just a place you’ve always wanted to adventure to. I recommend casual attire or style as you wish.
