Fall weddings are always so beautiful, and a huge reason why I love calling New England home…
This bride is a fellow Hallmark Institute of Photography alumni. She contacted me about photographing her wedding and shared why she chose me to photograph her big day. “[I] shadowed her while I was attending Hallmark and got to know her, and fell in love with her work and personality.”
The pre-wedding preparation, the ceremony, and the reception all took place at the Lucerne Inn. This was a very special place for Brooke, who had wanted her wedding to be at the Lucerne since childhood. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, making it the perfect day for an outdoor ceremony.
Brooke and Tylor were married under the classic white gazebo just outside the inn. With their intimate wedding party surrounding them, the couple said their vows in front of Bangor’s stunning mountain view.
Brooke’s favorite part of the Lucerne Inn is their white birch trees. The multi-colored leaves and the crisp light of fall made for some gorgeous group portraits.
One of my favorite details of this wedding were the custom, DIY decorations Brooke made with her friends and family. The pumpkins, the wreaths, the mason jars, the favors, and the birch accents created a rustic atmosphere at the ceremony. The most unique decoration was the fingerprint tree painting that guests could add to as they entered the venue.
I could tell that all of the guests felt very involved in Brooke and Tylor’s wedding, and that everyone had a blast at the reception.
