Samoset Resort Wedding in Maine

This wedding hit a homerun…

I first met Evan and Andrew at their grand tasting event at the Samoset. I immediately fell in love with them and knew that I had to shoot their wedding.

Both Evan and Andrew got ready at the Samoset, where their ceremony and reception would be held.

As a present for his groomsmen, Andrew got them signed Pedro books. They’re all huge baseball fans. Go Red Sox!

The bride stayed in the Schooner room with her family and friends.

Before the ceremony, I took some group shots of the bridal party and the groomsmen. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, the sun adding extra glow to the excitement and vibrant colors of the Samoset landscapes.

One of the reasons I adored this couple, and everyone I encountered throughout the day, is that they were all so ready to have fun.

We all need to make funny faces and be a bit cheeky after an hour of professional photos sometimes!

The ceremony took place under a classic white pergola outside the Samoset. It was truly the perfect day for their wedding.

Afterwards, Evan shared a beer with the groomsmen.

Some of my favorite photos from this event are near the rocks of the Rockland Harbor Breakwater Lighthouse. It was an absolutely stunning location.

At the reception, the couple created a seating chart and guest list that mirrored a baseball lineup. It was such a innovative touch, and made the wedding more personal for guests.

It is tradition on the groom’s side to group the bride with men of the family. They were so funny, smoking celebratory cigars and donning cool sunglasses for their pictures.

Weddings like these are why I do what I do. I truly loved every single thing about the day and all the happiness that surrounded this amazing couple.

They were so kind and respectful with me, which allowed me to do what I love with ease.
