Wedding Photography : Forest Park, Springfield, Massachusetts

I’ve got mad love for this couple.  Tracy and Chris live in Santa Cruz, California yet were getting married in Tracy’s hometown.  They drove across country with their dog Henry to travel to their wedding.  That’s dedication.  That’s good stuff.  None of us had met prior to their day.  I met Tracy at her parents house in Ludlow, Massachusetts as she was getting ready.  There is something about a bride getting ready in the house, in the bedroom she grew up in.  Yes, parents change our rooms over time yet I think that’s a special touch to the story of you, your person and your wedding day.  You’ll see down below that the groom, Chris is looking at the camera right before the ceremony.  That’s pretty much the moment we first met.

Although I had never met these two in person, they both and their family and friends all made me feel welcome.  This allowed me IN so I could really do my creative dance through their day.  I love this wedding.  I loved the people, the locations, the way Tracy and Chris interacted with everyone, the way these two looked at each other and how much fun they all had.  Mmmmhmmmm, this wedding is the perfect example of why I do what I do.

Tracy is Portuguese.  She has a HUGE family.  HUGE.  So huge that they filled an entire section of stadium seating.

Thankfully, there was a stadium across the street from their reception.  I thought this would be a fun way to use the family as a background to represent all of the people backing them.

Tracy and Chris exchanged rings and vows at Forest Park in Springfield, Massachusetts.  Their ceremony took place at Marsh’s Rest Gazebo which is just a tiny area of this 735 acre park.  The park is massive and served as a wonderful playground for family, wedding party and romantic portraits.

I love all the unique and thoughtful touches of this wedding.  Here are some of my favorites from their day.

They celebrated with friends and family at the Gremio Portuguese Club in Ludlow.  They had SO much food.  It was amazing.  There was great entertainment, games, dancing and literally course after course of delicious food.  I believe Tracy’s family owns the catering company so they truly dazzled the guests with food.

Second Photography by Helena Sullivan.  Dress Designer : Romona Keveza from bridal boutique, Gabrielle’s Bridal Atelier.  Flowers by Golden Blossoms of Chicoppee.   Entertainment by Triple Play Trio.  Hair and Makeup done by her fabulously fun friend, Heather Burtch.

Well done everyone!

Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Snow for having me along to document this day in your life.

If you’re interested in learning more about any of the details from their wedding, please feel free to get in touch or leave a comment.
