Ria and Ross chose Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park in Freeport, Maine for their engagement portrait session location. I hadn’t been to the park prior to the session and I LOVE THEIR choice!!! The evening was casual, fun and great to explore this coastal Maine park. Learn more about why, Ria and Ross chose this great location below.
“Ross and I moved to Portland to go to medical school. After a whole year of basically studying non-stop and never going out and having fun, we were starting to go crazy. Come spring time, Ross went online to find outdoorsy stuff for us to do. We are avid hikers, but all the serious hikes are too far away for a busy weekend. Wolfe’s Neck State Park was one of the first places we found that had a decent amount of trails and was relatively close by. The first time we went there we just fell in love with it. It’s combines nature walks with walks on the beach, which are both things we enjoy. It’s why we love Maine so much!
They both wear glasses that tint in daylight so we had to get them used to not wearing any while being photographed. I’m so glad they were open to not wearing them.
I must see the eyes!! 🙂
The two last shots are facing out to Googins Island Osprey Sanctuary. The sun lit the foliage perfectly for these shots and turned out to be my favorite images from the session. Soon I will be creating more images for these two at their spring wedding!
