I volunteered dog photography at AWS {the Animal Welfare Society} in Kennebunk, Maine to help the adoption process with my good friend, Nicki Fenderson of the Pixel Chicks this week. We spent time hanging with six dogs and one of them is not available just yet. We’ve never seen the shelter so packed. One thing that stood out to me was a woman who works at the shelter. Although, it’s filled to the brim with dogs, we found her snuggling a dog in it’s “house”. It’s very stressful for the dogs, there is a lot of barking that goes down and to see these dogs be so well taken care for both makes me smile and tear up a bit.

This five year old loves his people and can’t wait to be the apple of your eye. Denny has a playful side and yet he sports a mature side as well. He loves people of all ages and gets along with easy going female dogs.
