We had an amazing time at our engagement/love sesh! Despite being so happy with our weather luck, it was just a really nice way to get used to being in front of the camera without any other distractions. It was almost like we were in our own little world. It was actually a really nice time to spend together just focusing on us instead of the crazy wedding plans! Working with Melissa was wonderful. We got used to her style and had a preview of what it was like to work with her. Our engagement pictures came out beautifully it has just made us more excited to have her as our photographer for our wedding day. Overall, it was a a very intimate and wonderful experience that we would recommend to all couples!
Having an engagement session was a great way to get to know Melissa and to get used to being in front of a camera. It was nice that she took the time to scout out some ideal places for the pictures, keeping in mind what she knew of our personalities. We are happy to have her as part of our wedding in June!
The first time I talked to Melissa I knew she was “our photographer!” Talking to her over the phone was like talking to an old friend, and it was no different when we finally met her in person for our engagement session. As soon as we arrived at her studio I was so excited to begin shooting! As she spoke about the locations we were going to visit, I couldn’t help but notice her excitement. Her enthusiasm for photography and the engagement shoot was contagious and it definitely helped ease any fears we had of the camera. I would HIGHLY recommend doing an engagement shoot with Melissa, if not for the amazing photos and relationship building, then for the fun of just hanging with her!!
I’ll admit that I was a little nervous going into the engagement shoot, I’m not exactly the most outgoing person in the world to begin with and standing in front of a camera seemed a little daunting to me. All of my angst went away once we sat down with Melissa and talked about how we wanted to be photographed; she is incredibly personable and really laid back. It just felt like one of our friends was taking pictures of us. I highly recommend Melissa to any engaged couple, she is great!
