Happy New Year! I can’t believe it is 2016 already, but it’s time to hit the ground running and blog about more of these gorgeous weddings I documented last season. This wedding was so fun to be a part of. Kelsey and Adam were incredibly laid back, and their wedding was the same.
Both Kelsey and Adam got ready at the Hampton Inn in Bath, ME. I loved the personal touches they incorporated into everything, from the engraved names on their wedding bands to the locket Kelsey wore with a portrait of her mother inside. There was a lot of love in the getting ready rooms surrounding the couple. Kelsey’s Dad stopped into her room and I captured a sweet moment between them before the ceremony.
The bride and groom were most excited for the ceremony, which was in the Mould Loft, a cozy wooden space at the Maine Maritime Museum. Kelsey and Adam were married by their close friend, Owen, who created a very sentimental ceremony that had us all laughing and teary.
After the ceremony, I got some beautiful shots outside the museum with Kelsey, Adam, and their friends and family. They were such a fun couple to work with, and the venue had so many interesting places for photographs. I love the photos I got of the couple by the vintage, 1949 International Harvester, which was actually their caterer’s food truck. All the reception dishes were cooked fresh, on-site in that truck!
The couple wanted their reception to be very relaxed. So, they served their friends some delicious pizza, danced with everyone, and created a very welcoming environment for their guests to just hang out in.
They had plenty of love to go around at the wedding. It’s a great way to start the new year, don’t you think?
