Jeff Cusack is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and musician who has been performing since 1967.
Since moving here in 1994, Jeff has played in pubs, taverns, restaurants, festivals, and private functions around the Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island area. I had the pleasure of meeting him at his stepdaughter’s wedding, where he performed at the reception, and I immediately felt a connection to his music.
We took these pictures at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. I love the stone architecture and the beautiful brick accents. The ruins made for an insanely fun and artistic theme for the shoot.
While I was taking his photographs, Jeff played the entire time. The music coming from his acoustic guitar echoed throughout the fort. It was so hauntingly beautiful that it made for a magical session.
Jeff’s repertoire includes music from The Beatles to The Barenaked Ladies, and everything in between. During our session, he even played some original songs, which he likes to slip into his three-hour sets.
You can see by his last name that he has a pretty famous cousin. Because “Say Anything” is one of my all-time favorite movies (and John Cusack is one of my favorite actors), I had to get a shot of Jeff holding the guitar over his head like a boom box.
Jeff is such a wonderful man, and so easy to work with! If you want to see Jeff perform, you can find a list of his performance dates on his website.
