I spent a very fun weekend in the mid-coast of Maine for Jessie and Matt’s wedding. I arrived on Friday to photograph an hour of their rehearsal dinner at The Slipway in Thomaston. I fell in love with this restaurant and have been back a few times since. It’s right on the St. George River at the Public Landing and has a lot of outdoor seating. Plus, a dock with a bar out at the end. Lovely spot to visit if you’re traveling near that area.
The bride and groom presented their wedding party with unique gifts and shared a dinner with their guests during a perfect Maine sunset. It was one of those nights in Maine where you just have to stop and appreciate this beautiful place and I personally felt so thankful that I live here.
Jessie got ready at her parents home where she grew up in Tenants Harbor. Her Dad is a lobsterman so I incorporated their lifestyle in her bridal portraits. The guys got ready in a nearby cottage so they made getting ready really nice and easy.
Their 2pm ceremony was at the Tenants Harbor Baptist Church which is also where her parents were married.
They celebrated with their friends and family at the Samoset Resort.
