This wedding took place on a beautiful day in June at Marianmade Farm…
I first met Ariel and Nate when I took their engagement photos at Wolfe’s Neck State Park. For their wedding, they chose a serene, sea glass theme. Ariel prepared for the big day at the farmhouse. Her bridal party, consisting of both bridesmaids and bridesmen, helped with her dress and poured some champagne for everyone to enjoy before her first glance with Nate.
Along the treeline, I captured Ariel and Nate’s formal photos. We had a lot of fun playing around on the whimsical rope swing.
The ceremony took place by the Sheepscot River, under a rustic arch of branches and flowers. We were surrounded by vivid greenery, and the sound of the river flowing lazily in the background. It was the perfect place for Ariel and Nate to say their vows.
After the ceremony, they had an extended cocktail hour where guests could explore the farm and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails. The whole venue is magical – it’s a working lavender and flower farm, and provided the couple with all of their flowers. Ariel did the rest, making all of the blue and green themed decor, including the ombre linens.
One of my favorite shots is of this sweet moment between two of the guests, off on their own, playing on the rope swing.
The reception was held at the drying house; dried lavender hung from the rafters and the tables were topped with wildflowers. The caterers were artists from presentation to taste, and the Maine-themed sweets table was a wonderful touch. The party was a fun, relaxing affair that was the perfect close to a magical day.
Thanks to Wedding Chicks, Daisies and Pearls, and Marianmade Farm for featuring my pictures on their websites!
