Ahhhhhhhh, I feel very lucky to have met and worked with Vanessa and Chris. I’ve been seeing Vanessa for skin care at Nine Stones for years now and have had the opportunity to get to know her. Beyond the fact that she’s an absolute riot, she is a genuinely awesome person.
She said to me once, “I must have done something really good in a past life to receive Chris in this one.”
We met up at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and used the ever popular, coastal Maine treat, Portland Head Light as a backdrop. When choosing a location Vanessa kept coming back to the idea of this park. We were thinking of using Old Orchard Beach amusement area yet the park drew us in and won.
After all, Chris proposed to Vanessa at the park.
That evening a fog rolled in just enough to cause a sweet dreamy feeling and keep us nice and cool. Although, they were nervous to do this and needed a little liquid courage, it was very easy to capture the two of them together. They just have it. The it thing that’s hard to put your finger on or describe in words but when you see it, it just makes perfect sense. I’m pretty lucky to be able to see this it thing so often in the work that I do.
Stay tuned, this week is all about Vanessa and Chris on the blog! Their backyard, summer wedding will be featured here soon!
