Reconnecting with someone from high school is always a trip as it really puts age and years in perspective! Eugene and I attended Pocono Mountain High School together and by ways of Facebook . . . were connected and he inquired about having me photograph their wedding. I was so excited #1 because it was GENO, #2 they were getting married in our hometown area, #3 couldn’t wait to meet the person he was marrying!
On Saturday, July 25, 2009, Gene and Dana were married at The Shawnee Inn which sits right along the Delaware River. For some odd reason, even though I grew up just a few towns away, I had never been to this property. I scouted the day before and was really blown away by how green, lush and beautiful this area is. Made me realize how lucky I am to have grown up there.

When I scouted, I knew it was a must to use these two trees. I laid down in the grass for this one.
They had a great group of friends that didn’t mind getting together to blow bubbles at them.
Instead of a 1st Dance these two were introduced into the reception as Mr. and Mrs. and played a round of badminton. Dana won!
So, Eugene took back the reins during cake cutting. She fed him his piece nicely . . .
and when it was her turn to be fed – he took it! Love her reaction.
They had games setup during the reception and had the two Dad’s duel out a round of corn toss.
This is Gene’s little niece. Such a cutie all off on her own.
This is one of my favorites from the day.
Thank you Gene and Dana for letting me celebrate with you! It was an awesome day! And a great experience for me to be back to the roots!
xoxo!
On this special day, we also had a very special photographer. Her name was Melissa Mullen. She did a great job. Ha! Thanks Melissa. The pictures are “absolutely gorgeous.” That is a direct quote from everyone to whom I have shown your pictures. Thank you so much for capturing our special day. I only wish we had gotten a picture with you too.
