Two hundred guests gathered at The International Golf Club and Resort to celebrate Elaine and Andrew’s wedding day. The International is located in Bolton, Massachusetts only 40 minutes from Boston. Along with the golf club there is a lodge on site that hosts 50 guest rooms. A gorgeous property for a golf club style wedding with the luxury of having rooms available for your guests is a big plus.

I photographed the rehearsal welcome dinner and had the opportunity to see how their Jewish wedding ceremony was going to unfold. There are many Jewish wedding traditions that I appreciate documenting and love that I can step into a world different from my own.
Andrew and Elaine chose to have a first glance prior to their ceremony and then headed to their Ketubah – marriage contract signing. The ceremony took place under the chuppah at sundown. The chuppah symbolizes the new home being built by the couple when they become husband and wife. Andrew breaks a glass, crushing it with his right foot, and the guests shout “Mazel tov!” (“Congratulations“). As intriguing as this all is, my absolute favorite Jewish wedding tradition is the Horah dance at the reception.
Love the collection of photographs from the past of family members representing the long line of successful marriages supporting them. Seeing photographs from the past is always a sweet reminder of how important the work that I do is. Even if in the moment, not every photo is cherished, one day, I believe it will be. I love this sense of knowing what you’re doing is so meaningful. Gives me purpose and is very fulfilling.
